It’s pool season! Each spring, homeowners rush to get their pools installed and ready to go for summer fun. Such was the case with the McCurry family in Carroll County, Maryland. In March, the McCurry’s moved to a new home. After spending 15 years in a home with a lot too small for a pool, their first order of business was having one put in at their new place.

After working with their pool company to design their dream pool, the schedule was set for construction. It was at that time that they contacted Tri County Fence & Decks for a fence estimate. Our estimator, Brad Meyer, met with the McCurry’s, walked and measured the proposed pool area, and showed samples of the types of fencing suitable for pools. Since the property is located in an already private setting, the family was looking for a fence that complimented the pool and still allowed for a nice view of the property.

The McCurry’s chose Bay Breeze 4-foot black aluminum fencing from Shoreline Vinyl Products. Elegant, yet understated, Bay Breeze style fencing was the perfect compliment to their unique pool design.

AquaLatch Pool Gate LockShoreline offers high quality fencing for pools that include AquaLatch gate security. AquaLatch is a keyed gate lock system, offering added safety for pools. That, coupled with vertical fence rails make it difficult for children to enter the pool area.

Although the pool construction schedule was altered a little by weather, Tri County Fence & Decks worked closely with the McCurry’s to schedule their installation on time. This allowed them to schedule the final pool inspection promptly so that the family could enjoy their new addition.

During the installation, the McCurry’s asked if there could be a slight modification to the fence line. Since their pool has several curves and a more free-flow design, they wanted the fence to follow that same curved style. Mrs. McCurry worked with our field supervisor to alter the fence line on the spot. A slight modification to the layout was signed off on, and the crew continued the install. The project was completed the same day.

The end result is a pool fence that is beautiful and safe for the family. They are very happy with it (see their review on Angie’s List!) and look forward to enjoying it for years to come.
